A splendid beach that with Knock Bay to the north creates a stretch of sand almost a mile long. On the headland to the south stands Killantringan Lighthouse, built in 1900, but now decommissioned. In the bay beyond it, at low tide, you can see the wreck of the Craigantlet, a container ship that ran aground here on 26 February 1982. The crew were airlifted by helicopter to safety.
